For the third time, Ayala Land Residential website, www.atayala.com, has been recognized by the Philippine Web Awards. It has once again won the prestigious title of Best Corporate from the Philippine Web Awards.
The awards night was held in the Carlos P. Romulo auditorium of the RCBC Plaza last Friday, February 27, 2009.
AtAyala.com first won the title of Best Corporate website in November 2007 and it also bagged the People's Choice Award in 2005. The other finalists in the 2008 Best Corporate website category included the websites of a beauty product, a bank and two car companies.
The Philippine Web Awards is an award-giving body that gives recognition to the outstanding individuals and organizations behind some of the best Filipino-made websites. For more than a decade now, the PWA has attracted a large number of participants, ranging from the recognized experts to the budding young talents in the Philippine online community.
More than a hundred nominations were received for this year's 18 award categories. Other awards given out in the 11th Philippine Web Awards included Best E-Government website, Best Community and Portal site, Best School Website, Best Blog, Best Entertainment website, and several others. The nominees were judged based on four criteria: Content, Design, Usability, and Functionality.
The team of judges for the finals included some of the top names in design, web development and digital marketing. The panel of judges included Ms. Anette Juellund Auyang, Regional Director of Yahoo!, Jeff Bakalar, CNET Networks review editor, Darren Gladstone, Senior writer of PC World Asia, Dino Ignacio, renowned Filipino multimedia designer, Jason Coates, Senior Communication Manager for Yahoo! North, South and Southeast Asia, among others.
