My Park, my playground

Playgrounds are among the most important environments for children outside the home; and Anvaya Cove, the 320-hectare private leisure retreat developed by Ayala Land Premier, uses this piece of information to the fullest.

Benefiting most from this are Parkside lot owners, whose definition of park could very well change to: an extension of my backyard.

My Park is the sprawling one-hectare centerpiece of the Cliffside neighborhood, the first residential area launched at Anvaya. It only gets better. From the park, a path leads to a secret, secluded cove of Anvaya, with direct access available only to Cliffside neighborhood residents, particularly Parkside lot owners. Incredibly lucky, it's as if these families have their own park, and beach, at the same time.

Though My Park follows the tropical Asian theme of Anvaya, thus avoiding the manicured look one sees in the city, the playground exists for more than just aesthetics.

Playgrounds, after all, enhance a child's ability to learn physical coordination, gain strength and flexibility, and develop social skills needed for adulthood. They provide venues for accelerated learning. Independent research and child-care professionals even conclude that spontaneous play - the kind that occurs primarily on playgrounds - is considered the most beneficial learning experience for children. With My Park fully accessible from their own backyards, children of Parkside can spend countless hours devising new forms of recreation, inventing informal games, and finding creative ways to pass the time. Here, their imagination can soar.

Because My Park is a Natural Playground, children can learn about nature and the environment, while at play within it. Environmental awareness and nature conservation is part of Anvaya's thrust, having partnered with the Worldwide Fund for Nature to make sure that the stress of human habitation does not interfere with the demands of the ecosystem.
