Last weekend, we had a birding sortie in Anvaya Cove, Morong, Bataan at the invitation of the management and thru the efforts of PBPI fellow Bert Madrigal. Also with us were PBPI fellow Mark Itol and WBCP members Alex Tiongco and Marts Cervero, and PBPF/WBCP member Manny Yllana who also works in Ayala Land.
The bird list of Anvaya Cove as reported by Manny include Hawk Owl, Lowland White-Eyes, Bright-capped Zisticola, Pink-neck Pigeon, Pompadour, Red Junglefowl, Black naped Oriole, Buttonquail species, Philippine Coucal, White-collared Kingfisher, White-throated Kingfisher, Pied Triller, Yellow Vented Bulbul, Large-billed Crows, Chestnut Munia, Scaly-Breasted Munia, Rhabdornis, Pied Bushcat, Black-crowned Night Heron, Red Turtledove, Zebra Dove, Cuckoo species, Mangrove Blue Flycatcher, Koel, White-browed Shama, Philippine Duck, Eurasian Tree Sparrow, Black Naped Monarch, White-eared Brown Dove, Pygmy Flowerpecker, Colasisi, White-bellied Munia, Pied Buschat, White-breasted Waterhen, Philippine Woodpecker, Swiftlet Species, Grassbird Species, Blue-headed fantail, Grey-backed Tailorbird, Long-tailed Shrike, Olive-backed Sunbird, Philippine Bulbul, and Pitta species.... 43 in all.
